Mrs. Velva Lee Gillion, age 93 of the Pearidge Community, died Thursday morning July 31, 2008 at Fayette Medical Center. Graveside service for Mrs. Gillion will be Saturday Aug. 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Painter Cemetery with Norwood Chapel directing. The visitation will be Friday evening after 5:00 p.m. at Mrs. Gillion's residence.

Mrs. Dollie Bell Watkins, age 91 formerly of Fayette, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2008 at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune, MS. Funeral service will be Sunday July 27, 2008 at 2:00 from Norwood Chapel with burial following in the New Liberty FWB Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Norwood Chapel.

Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 9:30 until 2:00 prior to the service.
